Skill instruction and practice

Clear focus
Each level is based on a clear desired learning outcome. This helps you focus your instruction and feedback.

Shared understanding
Students want to know why they’re learning a particular skill. We provide the first person dialogue to have this conversation and by sharing the benefits with them (ex: running on the balls of your feet will help you run faster), it helps increase engagement.

Critical elements
Techniques are broken down into 3 critical elements to make teaching and learning more effective.

Maximize practice opportunities
Each level has suggested practice tasks. Our practice tasks are designed to give each student maximum practice opportunities. The more opportunities a student has, the more likely he/she is to gain competence and confidence.

Build confidence
When everyone practices together everyone is focused on their learning and not on others making students feel safe.

Images and Videos
For visual learners, pictures and videos are provided for every technique.

Are fun
The games are designed with multiple variations and player roles so all your students find them fun. We also create fun storylines for each game to capture the students’ imaginations and make them want to participate in physical activity. Games marked with a blue star are teacher favorites.

Provides variety
Each level contains several game options for you to select from. Not only does the variety of activities keep your students engaged, but it allows you to select games that meet the needs of your space and class’ interests.

Incorporates newly learned skills
By providing games that incorporate the newly learned skills, students can see the connection between skill development and game play.

Leverages individual strengths
Each game is designed to incorporate multiple roles so students with all different interests and strengths can confidently participate.

Safe environment
If a student isn’t ready to participate in the group activity, we create a practice zone where they can continue to work on their skills until they have built up their confidence.

High energy
As you know, kids need 60 minutes of moderate/vigorous physical activity each day. Our games are designed to keep them moving.
