STORYLINE
Today we are playing Simon Says. Your goal is to follow the same movements as Simon only when Simon says so.

INSTRUCTIONS

  • I will select a Simon.
  • When I say, “GO!” Simon will begin a movement.
  • If Simon uses the words, “Simon says…” then you must follow the movement.
  • If you move when Simon does not say, “Simon says…” then you have to do five jumping jacks to continue the game.
  • I will select a new Simon after five minutes.
 

Game 1: Play as indicated above.
Game 2: Elimination round – if a student does a movement without “Simon says”, he/she must sit out.

 

TEACHING TIPS

  • Discussion: Ask students to share examples of who they saw doing a good job at listening closely to what Simon said.
